yah so

i just watched Ratatouille finally this past weekend. and i couldn't help but notice:

- colette rides a motorcycle. (something called a CAWALA no less. fictional Kawasaki? OF COURSE, silly!) and has decidedly asian-esque features despite the fact she's supposed to be français.

- the restaurant (despite supposedly also being français) is called: Gusto. oh sorry, i mean: GUSTEAU ( mhmmp.)

- the rat's exasperating-but well-meaning-and-overall-good-hearted brother is named: emil

ee hehee heee

i'm just sayin.

oh yah !

and anthony-bourdain was supposably a "consultant" for this movie or something, no? and we alls know (from even way back in my brief eGullet days) that tony-bourdain totally sweats me. (don't believe me? check the "members list" up top-- under: bourdain*)

* Note: the Forum @ PX This had an updated list naming all 488 Members. The member known as "bourdain" self-registered for theForum on May 13, 2007 but was not accepted as a full "Member" [with access to the private invitation-only password-protected portion of theForum] due to his un-verifiable Yahoo e-mail address.

LOL.

Did you see Grindhouse: Deathproof?

The Rosario Dawson character is named Abbe, she has short bangs and she's from the Phillipines.

Do I remember you mentioned Quentin Tarantino in the book? He was sweating you, right?

Also, the movie was smart enough to show how the staff knew who the food critics were, as soon as they walked through the door. And Bruni's name - Anton Ego! Perfect.
